Lucy! It's time to add some new stuff to this goal. You've got 12 days remaining to get educated. Can you get in one more book? Maybe a magazine? (for example, the Economist.) We've got to get you educated!

So how's the education coming? Have you finished any books lately? I'd love to know if there's anything interesting you've learned lately?

you're kicking butt! Plus, your program does count toward your goal of getting educated, no? Happy Birthday!

How's the reading coming? You were blazing fast on the last two.

Here's a great article to get educated about recycling (yes, this is a cool Economist article and I am a nerd):

well... i'm on page 244 out of 348 in love in the time of cholera.

haven't read much more jane jacobs because it's not as exciting.

my summer program started today so i'm not sure going to be doing much reading at all for the next 6 weeks, but we'll see.

i'm going to read the death and life of great american cities next... in preparation for urban planning.

but i think i might also read love in the time of cholera as well... i might need a story to distract me from the more academic reading.

Lucy: What interested you in College? What did you Major in? Can you get a counselor to assist with your caree path?
I know there are interest surveys that correlate your responses with specific career paths. I am a recently retired Math teacher, with a similar problem. I don't know what I want to do now that I don't HAVE TO work anymore. The Po Bronson book is a wonderful collection of real people
describing how they made decisions about career choices. Don't worry, with the College degree, you have a plethora of choices. Good luck.

There's a book called What Should I do With My Life by Po Bronson. That could be a good place to look for ideas. It's not a framework or some theoretical treatise; it's just the stories of people trying to answer the same question. Check out this website for more info: http://www.pobronson.com/index_what_should_I_do_with_my_life.htm

I am not sure how to go about figuring out what I want to do. I graduated from college a year ago, but I'm not sure what to do now... Does anybody have any suggestions?
